I think my highest peak is the blues at ~70% around noon. Everything else is up and down depending on time of day. |

I've been running my DIY effort for just over 2 years now. There have been modifications & upgrades but nothing major. I've used 10 watt multi-chip LEDs mounted on 3 rails in a wooden frame. Combination of 10,000K, 7,000K White and Blue & Royal Blue LEDs controlled by manual dimmers & timers.
http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/sho...9&postcount=47 The link at the bottom of any of my posts will take you to my build thread. It's only 3 pages on my laptop, not sure how many that translates to on a smart phone. Depends on your forum options. Post count is 93 atm. |
I had been running 100w LEDs for a couple years and now on the new tank since January (roughly)
I have a total reno build thread and more detailed on the LEDs buildFijiReefRock tank build https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--...24-Ut/2014+-+1 https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/--...24-Ut/2014+-+4 https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-G...24-Ut/2014+-+2 https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-V...08-no/2014+-+1 https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-5...08-no/2014+-+3 https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-G...08-no/2014+-+4 https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-N...08-no/2014+-+1 https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-P...323_172308.jpg Yes its crazy as they are running (all10) at 25% in the below picture https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Y...421_222555.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Y...421_222544.jpg |

I have two Kessil a360w for about eight months. I run them with a apex they ramp up to 100% They hang about eight" above the water line growth and colour is great. I cant get a clear full tank photo for the life of me with a Iphone tho.My tank is57x24x25.

Everything started from frags (I'm cheap like that) in that 30 gallon under those lights then moved to the 125 under more of those lights when I upgraded
Nothing but good things growth and color wise The 30 gallon had only blue and white LEDs but when I added the other heatsinks for the 125 I changed them all to have full spectrum (UV red green blue and white ) The tank has been set up 8months from the bottom pic to the top one |

Hey craig, DO you have all ur leds setup to same intensity?? or are the uv reds n greens dialed down a bit more than the whites and blues |
UV red blue and green are all on same string and drivers set to 650mw so about as far as the uv red and green can handle but only 1/3 of how high the blues could really go
Whites are set at 750mw but they are ramped to 40% and that's enough light any more and I can see the bottom corals not liking it and the color gets closer to 10-12k than the 14k-15k I like If I were to do it again I would have 3 strings red uv green Blue White for even more control But with basicly it at 50% of how powerful it could go I'm getting solid growth right to the sand bed |

I put this fixture together over the holidays last year. Each cluster (2 per heat sink) is a 20W 4k white overpowered by 40W of surrounding blues. Probably way to much light for the tank, haven't turned it up past 50% yet. Might pull one heat sink out and add some UV to the others. Controlled by a coralux storm controller.
Managed to mount the fixture with two 1" conduits coming up the back of the tank and hide all the wiring internal, so no exposed wires or hanging cables. Apologies for the bad tank pics, would take more but I don't want to document our cyano outbreak... Cheers Jesse |
Led
Nice setups, there's never enough light jesse... Keep em comin

AI Sols on my 90 Gallon reef
Ok this is what I started with in 2012, 2 AI Sol Blues hung 12" above the water line.
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...er1/001-10.jpg I don't really have any decent full tank pictures, but here's a few sectional ones I took with my phone. http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1c26966a.jpg http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...psa1057262.jpg http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...pse1ce9b73.jpg After seeing some of the great pictures by others, I'm going to ask Santa for a new camera! :x-mas: |
4 Radions with 2-2 bulb T5 fixtures. Depending on the time of day, the % and K changes on the Radions.
