LF: 4" SCH 40 PVC coupling (Edmonton)
Is any one knows where to get a 4" SCH 40 PVC coupling and pvc plate?
|
I might have the coupling, what exactly do you mean by PVC plate?

A pc of 1/4" thick pvc plate approximately 5"x5".
|
You mean acrylic/lexan?

Can I ask what the project is? If I understand what your trying to do I might have the materials.

Rona on gateway has the best selection of 4" sch 40 fittings i've found, just bought a whole bunch today for an ozone reactor I'm building, I actually have to go back tomorrow to get the pipe, as sorta have a 90 gallon tank in the back of my hatch back right now.

Gotcha, it won't be under much pressure so I'd think that marine grade silicon or super glue would be fine, a test piece would be a good start, try the acrylic onto the PVC.......I'm 99% sure I have a couple of couplings for you (free). I'm in St. Albert.

I've got a sched 80, 4" for sure and I'll check for a sched 40. No real difference in size so I guess either would work for you.

From reading up on bonding acrylic to pvc, it appears weld on 40 or 42 is the preferred compound, though I don't know if it would be available in Edmonton. I do have a few Avast Marine products and I know in the kits that I got it came with Weld On 16 for bonding the pvc bottoms to the acrylic, and I have had a Kalk reactor running this way for over a year now

i built a frag rack by gluing a sheet of acrylic to 4" ABS pipes.
used Transition glue from rona. worked great |
