Mysis part deux
 

I have sort of settled on 200 packages of mysis. The fellow at CAS is putting the order together and I expect details very soon. So...suppose there was a choice of size? I think they come in small and large...I was wondering how I would decide the quantity of each to order. The last time I sorta got them mixed up and nobody noticed (there is not that much difference in size). Assuming I got my act together and kept them seperate ... would 1/2 and 1/2 be about right?

I'm thinking the size of the mysis...I think the packages are all 8 ounces

I have sent off the information to Christian at CAS and he was putting together and order last Thursday ish. As soon as he gets back to me I will post any information here (after I talk to Jim of course).

just in case you are wainting for an update...

Speaking of mysis there are 4 or 5 people in my area who might be interested in it up here, who would I talk to to arrange an order of mysis, the LFS's up here don't have it.

I just sent him another email. I know he was organizing this with some of the local retailers and CAS, and he has to arrange transport from Kelowna. He had done a preliminary order a week ago ... so I am just waiting to hear. He needed 250 orders to go and I did guarentee 200 so I expect we should be hearing something soon.

If it's not to late to jump on the bandwagon Ross, I'd be willing to committ to a few pkgs. Maybe two dozen or so, give or take a bunch, depending on the alignment of the stars... :rolleyes: .
I didn't see prices anywhere... :confused: . Any "ball-park" numbers...?
Most of my fish are wimps, like Alans, so perhaps small ? Though I did adopt a tough guy from Deb, so being in her caliber some big-un's would do too...

I'm only writing because my pipefish gave me a look again tonite that said, "what is up with this crap ?"

I had to buy marine cuisine because it has the biggest nicest mysis mixed in. :eek:

It totally polluted my tanks tho...even tho I rinsed it twice. :rolleyes:

I also fed some diced gourmet cuisine (mish-mash) yesterday - not warmly received...

Please don't shoot the messenger, but the LFS I frequent swears by Hikari Mysis. It is actually saltwater Mysis. It does not pollute etc., so it might be a good substitute while waiting. That is just free advice. Take it as offered please, and remember I am not recommending it . :rolleyes:

Well I sent the fellow another note, he was to have ordered it a bit ago. He has not responded to any of the notes so I assume that all is not going well. He is quite well known with CAS and I have had many dealings with him before. As soon as I hear anything I will let you know.

I was just off on vacation and did not have access to a computer...and then I came home and had to put in a green house for my girl, sorry for the delay.

Wai's sell the same stuff, if ya can't wait.
