Never did say I knew everything, I just thought you'd like to know that what you're trying to sell is in fact not a peacock mantis. Glad to see I helped.
As for the second comment, you'd probably keep calling things the wrong name....but since that's what you bought it as. Has to be true, lfs are never wrong.

Slyguy00 12-10-2013 08:04 PM

I honestly dont care wut kind of shrimp it is. Its for sale. I bought it as a mantis. Call it what you want. 30$

First of all, you said it was sold to you as a peacock. No?
At any rate, maybe someone who is buying it does want to know.
Hence the correction, always nice to know what you're buying......

Slyguy00 12-10-2013 10:27 PM

Sure was. Thanks for your valueable input and free bumps lol

agreed bob im sure who ever buys it would like to know what it is , especially considering peacocks get so large and the G. smithii does not:)

good sample pics of both

Slyguy00 12-10-2013 11:48 PM

Thanks man thats all that was needed. Dont need some clown spaming my post. Like i said it was purchased as a peacock mantis. I could really care less what it is. Wether its a peacock or not really means nothing to me. Just want it gone either way paid 40$ for it. So 30$ sounds fair

Aquattro 12-11-2013 12:02 AM

Sounds like smithii are easier to care for, I'd sell it as that :)

Too bad you didn't post this 2 weeks ago, I was over and would have taken it.

Slyguy00 12-11-2013 12:04 AM

Thanks for the actual helpful info. I appreciate it

reefwars 12-11-2013 12:11 AM

plus no shell rot!!

trainable too!!

i had a g.smithii and while he was great eventually stopped eating and perished like that.

good luck with your sale i dont think anyone was being harsh just pointing out that the gernman sheppard is actually a lab lol

cheers

denny

Slyguy00 12-11-2013 12:16 AM

Slyguy00 12-11-2013 12:25 AM

Hea pretty shy actually. He comes out a few times a day but if i come anywhere near the tank he goes and hides. If i feed mysis shrimp he comes out regardless though. Really cool lookin shrimp either way. Iv been tempted to put him in my main reef tank but not sure how he would be in there. Only reason im sellig him is cause im getting rid of my nano tank which he lives in.
