Project: Keep wife happy :)
Well, my wife has been exceptionally patient with me and my tank upgrade so I've been helping her out with her little pet project - her pond. I've tried convincing her to go with something a bit bigger. I showed her Dez's little set up, but she's totally not the bigger is better type (unlike me :) ). So she's content with her little pond. Anyway I thought I'd share a bit of what I did for her. Here's her little pond:

So here's a few steps of the last 2 week ends and eve's: http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4a4574c2.jpg http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/...psee9c1611.jpg http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/...psbe24c049.jpg http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/...pscf376a61.jpg |
Thankfully we live in an area where you can go right to the mills and get some custom board sizes. I needed a pretty big chunk to do this:

Awwwww! It's so pretty!

Thanks! And now for the rest of the yard.... :(
|
That looks amazing!

Nicely done Dom! Happy wife is a happy life!
|
Nice. I love pergolas/arbors. I also agree with you that the pond is too small but if it makes her happy...
|
whoa, that's a brilliant idea for the grape vines!! Mine have outgrown the space that I gave them and i was wondering what to do about that. I think I'll build an arbour for them just like yours and let them grow up and over!

Dom, looks great! Now I know who to turn to for assistance if I ever do want to start on a koi pond project!

That looks awesome, I love the splashes of contrasting colours all over the yard. You people in BC sicken me. Er, I mean... how very nice, how very very nice!!! :p
