Very nice reefs! Makes my little 28 gallon look pretty pathetic by comparison. You people are making me want to go for a bigger tank ASAP. Maybe in a year or two...
|
Yes, very nice! When and where do we actually vote?
|
Nicely done Canreef staff members, you guys rock!
|
Hello,
Very nice guys. Titus |
Holy !!
Wow guys, excellent work ! I just realized ive never even seen any of your tanks, nice to see the different passions each of you has in the same hobby. :D Tony, on your output pipes, are those snails ?? Looks like about 200 of the suckers on them alone ! Brad and Titus need something here....i dont care if its a dixie cup, get er done ! :P Nice work on the tanks AND on the FTOTM showcase all . :) Marc. |
Hi guys, thanks for the kind words. :)
Marc, they're actually vermetid snails, so they are permanently attached. For some reason they prefer the pipe to the rock ... perhaps the CBB keeps them at bay on the rock. One thing that's kind-of-uncool about them is that they send out these little spiderweb-like nets for catching particulates and it can get a little unsightly if any detritus gets stirred up and caught in the webs. But they do make the white PVC look a little more "reef-ified" than otherwise, so I let them be on the outputs and standpipes. Live-and-let-live, biodiversity-now!! .. and all that, ya know :) |
Thanks Staff !! Beautiful tanks with helpful photographs and informative text .
Excellent idea for TOTM . Thanks again.......................Dave |
