Here is a picture of my new 220 gallon tank. This has been a huge undertaking. Lighting is 3 400 watt halides with T5s (T5 not added yet). Stand and canopy was built by a friend of mine. The sump is in the basement and holds another 200 gallons. With a built in Fuge and Frag tank. Skimmer is a Bubble King. Soon to have a Profilux for the whole thing. I also have a PM calcium reactor that will be added soon.

Let me know what you think. And thanks to all for the help in making this happen.

mseepman 01-27-2008 10:43 PM

Excellent...did you manage to doucment the build?

Myka 01-27-2008 10:53 PM

This tank and the Tang came from RUTH up in Fort St John. The Tang has been living happily in a swimming pool in my basement for the past 3 months. He is about 12" and has the streamers coming off his tail. I am sure he will like the tank a lot more then the pool.

Thanks Keith

Thanks

I used a pvc frame for the rock work to try and get something that looked different. I am happy with the way it turned out. I hope in time it will look even better once it has corals and coralline algae.

Parker 01-28-2008 06:09 PM

Looks Great.. Look forward to seeing it grow..

Not sure how much is in there i used about 450 lbs in total display sump and fuge. My guess is about 200 225 lbs.

Thanks for all the compliments. I will try to post more pics as it progresses.

Never heard from you so i took a stab at taking some of my own. I would still like to arrange something with you. This gives you an idea on what i have.

I did some fragging today and also placed some new frags so i would like for some things to grow in for a couple of weeks.

Let me know what we can arrange.

Keith

I am going to try and start labeling the pictures correct so i can learn more. I have been taking picture like crazy trying to get it figured out. I have lots more on Facebook if you want to add me. WOW ! Very nice. Future TOTM

lastlight 04-14-2009 03:20 PM

Someone knows what they're doing! Unreal! How do you have your rock structure put together?

my2rotties 04-14-2009 03:39 PM

They are so awesome Keith... yes you are the future TOTM!!! How do you take the pictures exactly, are you snorkeling in there with the camera? Why don't you come over and show me on my tank:biggrin: and then you can make sure I don't stomp my Profilux into the floor when I am setting it up again.

Looks awesome!!! Yes Keith knows what he is doing and has helped me immensely with my system and this is why it is doing well. He hasd also turned my hubby into a coral junkie...

You have not even seen his frag tank guys, it is amazing!!!

fishytime 04-14-2009 03:54 PM

Purple one is lokani perhaps. I agree, the tank looks great.
