That's a tough one, have any night photos? I would say its a galaxea fascicularis.

Here is a similar one http://directsealife.com/shop/images...scicularis.jpg

pavona
it's very agressive, dont put it near other coral

nlreefguy 07-20-2010 07:12 PM

It looks like a type of hydnophora to me...

delo978 07-20-2010 07:23 PM

I think it looks more like a green flowerpot myself

http://www.bluezooaquatics.com/image...Pot_Red_ps.jpg

there's a green one at my LFS

reefwars 07-20-2010 08:04 PM

Gonna second the goniopora(flowerpot) I have a Large green one it looks like tahr when disturbed, they don't gave a reputation of living past the firstyeR something like less than 10% make it???

galaxia

kick my ass if i'm wrong but it's an unhappy looking galaxia.

Myka 07-20-2010 11:13 PM

Please take a photo when the tissue is retracted so we can see the skeleton. I am almost 100% sure it is not Galaxea nor Goniopora, but I need to see the skeleton to ID for sure.

This is a happy galaxea.

This is kind of ****ed off.
The skeleton looks totally different than yours.

Myka 07-20-2010 11:55 PM

The photos that SATELLITE posted show a coral with "mouths" in between the "clusters" of tissue. Neither Galaxea nor Goniopora have this trait.

Wayne 07-21-2010 12:00 AM

I'm pretty sure that its not a Gonipora, the heads are all wrong.

delo978 07-21-2010 12:02 AM

i still say flowerpot

Wayne 07-21-2010 12:14 AM

Heres some Gonipora Pictures I just took. I gave him a little massage to get him closer to his skeleton  Bottom right is right down to skeleton.

Hydnophora microconos maybe? http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...ora+microconos http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...ora+microconos

nlreefguy 07-21-2010 01:59 AM

I still say it's a hydnophora, those tissue bumps look too much like hydnophores to be anything else really.

SATELLITE 07-21-2010 04:18 AM

i have a gonipora and a pagoda coral. its not either one.

i think i seen it. encrusting horn coral??? hydnophora.
