Little Reef on the Prairie

It's been quite a while since I posted anything about my tank on Canreef and I can't even find my previous thread so I thought I would start a new one.
I've had lots of ups & downs over the years and the reef is still in recovery mode but I am still at it and things seem to be moving back in the right direction.
Here's a few recent pics.

Nice looking photos! What are the dimensions on this tank? I presume it’s your 400g

These photos look like presents under a Christmas tree

Looking decent!!

GREAT growth Greg!

With these experiences, I think you should write a reef instructing book combining videos. Then It'd be the best seller of the year!
I've been dumping big big bucks into this hobby but all I've done is killing the coral.
Now time to learn properly!

Some of those big colonies have been around for several years.

Great question Mindy
I think this week I'll say the dragons - red, purple & green.

This Cyphastrea decadia is getting to be a reasonable size now so it's a fave due to sentimental value.

Greg, are you back into selling frags? The one time I bought from you, you were busy with work and not so much with the tank. Just wondering if you're back into the fragging swing.

Oh this thread is almost certainly subtle advertising. He knows he rules.

I need that Purple Dragon. :D

Funny when I post on Reef Central I never get accused of that.
Anyway that wasn't my intention, it's just been a long time since I posted any updates.

Mindy you previously asked about my recent faves. I would say my A.samoensis is a real fave in my tank. I got a small wild colony from Fiji back in 2012 and lost it except for a tiny frag which has now grown into a nice sized colony of about 8-9 inches across. I wish I could get a better picture that really shows the bright yellow with purple tips contrast as it is very pretty.

 Maybe they aren't as observant?? I certainly use your Tank Journal threads to go shopping. :D

Are you fragging that blue gomezi and the Aussie blue stag? Please add those to my email request from last night (haha), oh and the Purple Dragon. The Aussie Blue stag isn't the horrida is it? Looks like an exquisita maybe?

Yes, very nice! It never goes green on you? That would probably be green in my tank. :twised:

I am not planning to frag those any time soon sorry. I think that blue stag is A.formosa.

It went green in my tank however looking at Greg’s colony over all I would attribute my coloration to higher nutrients in my tank. The tips on mine is considerably deeper and richer in color.

Actually all the frags I got from you Greg are looking fantastic. The red humilis is starting to color up nicely.

Glad to hear they are doing well. It was good of you guys to brave the weather and make the trip that day.
