Derek's upgrade tank build. 124.67 gallon
 

Well I have started the new upgrade, as I thought. I will be posting the pics as the build goes.....The tank is 48x30x20 beautiful size, I'm very happy with how it looks. I finished building the stand...and also purchased the lights,went with TEK 8 bulb system hope they will work for what I have...I almost killed myself trying to get this bad boy down my stairs.lol any suggestions on what I am doing wrong or wright would really help me out a lot. I should have some pics up tonight. Thanks everyone for looking. looking forward to the finished project.:biggrin:

Tank looks awesome Derek that lights gonna kick butt I'm sure. I thought u were gonna set it up more to the right I must have misunderstood where you were putting it when you showed me.

Well, I was going to have it there but it just did not look wright....And well my wife may have had something to do with that...lol

Well here is some shots with my lights fired up....was not all that impressed with the photos, or the lights them self...guess its hard to see what they will be like till i do the big move....so if anyone wants to help with my plumbing I'm looking:mrgreen: Also need a sump...and pump think that will get me going.:biggrin:

Exactly how mine looked when I fired up my lights. You really can't tell until you get water in it.

Yep. Started transferring some other stuff from the 20 into the 100 also.

I will have to stop over one of these days to check it out.

Well here is some pics, almost have this tank complete. Should be adding the water this weekend I hope, still need to do the leak test crossing my fingers and toes. Going to Red Coral to pick up my gate valve, and my plumbing will be done....Anyways her are the pics. Not the greatest but it all i got:biggrin:

Is that a stainless hose clamp on the return pump?
I've seen hose clamps rust before, marked as stainless, I'd be hesitant to use that.
Nice setup though.

Ya that's a good point, I could not find the plastic kind...will try something different maybe a tie strap....thanks

I bought my plastic ones from BRS on my last shipment. I think I have seen them on MOPS site too.
