January Photo Contest

This months subject:
ACTION.
Anything that shows movement or activity in your tank



Requested, but not required, members should post info about their picture. This could include a picture title and camera specs.

Only the first 20 entries will be used, so do not delay.Entries will be accepted until Jan 23rd, 2009.

Entries to be posted in this thread, if you have troubles posting please email your photo to candjszoo@gmail.com and I will post it for you

This Months Prize is an 8 X 10 print of your winning photo






Voting to take place Jan 24th through Jan 30st.




Contest Rules are as follows:

1) You must follow the guidelines given for each contest

2) ALL members including vendors can enter, photos must be from a personal display tank, not store stock.

3) The photo must be taken by you, and as long as it fits the subject you're in!

4) First come, first serve up to 20. But do not hesitate to continue posting pictures if 20 were already posted.

5) Each can post as many pictures as they want, but only ONE can be entered. Please specify which one when posting multiple pictures it will be chosen for you.

6) Have Fun!

Not really. Sometimes. Kinda :)

Ok around some soft corals, even some LPS but its hit or miss. They will eventually kill inverts. The biggest problem is that its hard to keep nitrates down with puffers in the tank. In that tank though, I was able to keep nitrates at 0 because it was a planted tank with so much macro algae.

Picture of my first and favourite coral, my red open brain which is thriving in the Nano.

Taken with a Panasonic DMC-FS20 Digital Camera
Details: 10MP, 100 ISO, macro focus, 9 spot area focus, exposure -.3, manual white balance scaled to sand.

Almost forgot... This is the coral during feeding to fit with the theme of an "Action Shot."
