Help with Identification

Hi,

This is growing on the back of one of my rocks. I actually noticed it when cleaning the glass. There was a couple sq inches on the glass. Anyone know what it is?

Thanks,
Dale

Looks like Green Star Polyps without the green... is it in the shade where you found it? get it some more light and see if it colours up for you.

Anthelia?

Does it retract into a mat when you touch it?

poke test

There is no mat. I does retract when poked, like my xenia does at night. But this stuff is tiny (half inch) much like my gsp.

The piece that was on the glass was in full light and had the same color as that in the photo which whould have been shaded.

If they have any iridescent to them then Sansibia. If none then +1 Anthelia

I have the same thing and when I was at a lfs they had it as well. I asked about it and was told it is "brown star polyps"......Make any sense? I agree that there is DEFINITELY no mat. If anthelia is the same as Xenia, then it is not that either. I've had xenia......not the same as this stuff.
