The acctual hinge may not be powdercoated. It's pretty tough to get a consistient film build with the wear and such, most won't powdercot he acctual hinge rod

If I remember correctly Francis mentioned that it was finished in a polyurethane spray as well... The "hinge" itself it just stainless steel bolt/nut combo, and I had already added some rubber washers to avoid any harsh metal on metal rubbing... but like mentioned, I won't be needing to raise this up and down a lot, I'm guessing couple times a month at most... Right now I barely have to move my canopy on my 75G... Appreciate all the suggestions though... It's too bad that Mcmaster carr won't ship to canada, they've got exactly what I need. :sad:
