That's probably how I would do it. Have a more of a "traditional" reef set up on the shallow side with lots of open space for asthetics and then a sloping rock wall along the drop off to represent the edge of a natural reef dropping off into the open sea. Could maybe even have dimmer lighting over the deep end to enhance the effect even more.

I like your thinking...
Gunna need lots of adhesive to keep it all good and sturdy!

I like it! Get the Eco Tech glue, I used it on my rockwork, best product I've used by far!

Wow Mike! Looking good buddy. I thought that you were saying that you have water in it already? Pictures don't refect that yet...?

How's the new pump... show up yet?

Just noticed that you picked up a reef keeper lite... did you find that used? If I end up shutting down I'll also have modules, probes, switches and such that I could seperate from my Reef Keeper Elite package for you if you like. Or you could buy the whole package and sell the lite!! lol

Johnny that's too bad- you have one of the most beautiful setups I had ever seen!

(You know I want it all!)

Nice looking build! Looks like you rubbed a few people the wrong way making comments about "fake" drop offs. I think the box in a box is a much safer design, I'm not sure I would trust that stress point in my house! I will happily watch your thread though! Hehe. Your pipes are noisy because of your drain design. Dual drains for Herbie overflow would be dead silent. I have Herbies one 3 tanks now, won't do it any other way.
