Sorry to hear.

Almost lost our puppy too!

Delphinus 12-22-2011 03:04 PM

Darn jumpy wrasses. :(

Found my yellow wrasse on the floor last night on the "last tank check/patrol before bed" ... normally he sleeps in the sand, not sure what would have spooked him out of the tank around 1am which is about when I figure it must have happened. It was not quite 2am when I found him, he was still mostly wet but dry enough to know he was well and truly gone.

Delphinus 12-22-2011 03:24 PM

This video has been going viral ... pretty cool experience this must have been

http://io9.com/5870192/holy-hell-is-...ntain-gorillas

(It's longish and his chatty intro drones on a bit but persevere through it, it's worth it)

The Grizz 12-22-2011 03:33 PM

I bet that dude had to go change his shorts after!!!

I think all Christmas cards should be animated by Terry Gilliam.

Yep. She blew out her right knee playing in the backyard. Surgery would have been over $4000 to fix her right but she was terribly allergic to the pain meds the vet put her on. We had no choice but to put her down.

gregzz4 12-23-2011 04:33 AM

I bought a late present for the wife over the web.
On Monday, it left Irving, TX, went through Memphis, TN and arrived in Richmond, B.C., on the 21st @ 2:01am.
So, I thought it would be here Wednesday or Thursday, depending on depot transfers.
When I next tracked it, it was on it's way to .... wait for it ...
Paris, France :noidea:

After contacting FedUp to ask what the ... "What are you going to do for me if this package doesn't get here by the weekend? Will you change it to Saturday delivery for me?"
"Sir, I am putting in a special request for you right now and we will do everything in our power to get it to you for X-mas".

Well, what can you do. I sent my tracking info off to a few friends so they could have a good laugh and figured X-mas may not have a 'happy ending'.

Wouldn't you know it, the doorbell goes off this morning and it's the Fed.
Holee motherfather.
I checked the tracking info ...
After it left Paris, it went back to Memphis ( don't have a clue why ), then back to the Vancouver sort facility, Richmond next, then the Burnaby depot and to my door my 11am. It was still in Paris last night.

I gotta say, when they screw up, they do it well.
And when they fix it, they do it really well.

Seamazter 12-23-2011 05:01 AM

wouldn't of happened that way if it was UPS.
Die UPS Die.

The Grizz 12-23-2011 05:09 AM

No kidding, if it was UPS it would have gone to Paris, then Russia, over to China back to Memphis, New York, Onterio & then maybe just maybe Vancouver by January.

gregzz4 12-23-2011 05:22 AM

So to top it all off ...
It's broke

Seller is re-shipping ...

So much for a 'happy ending'

:twised: :x-mas:

Hoof Hearted

Peewww
Just a warning for you all :hand:
I just used some Tarn-X to clean a Silver cup without turning on the kitchen fan. :yield: :dizzy: :yuck:
It stunk up the whole upper floor like egg farts.
I guess it contains Hydrochloric Acid.

OMG, it stinks sooooo bad.

Well, at least I can go ahead and let loose without the wife blamin' me
