okay so I have been looking the pricing of Supply units latley and find it odd that is changes so much and so drasticly.

Does anyone know why or what makes it swing, as I think there could be some money made there.

Is there a clear cut answer when it is better to buy a basalt monolith over spending PP's on galactic cybernets. Trying to find the quickest way to increase culture? Takes something like 60 hrs for me to increase culture 1 level.

If you have 8 planets and it will take 433 each to raise Cybernets by 1 = 3464 PP ... Basalt Monolith is approx 3500 and gives you a perpetual 10% boost ... I think I added one when I was at about 8 planets :cool:

Just want to let everyone know that I managed to survive the attacks, got my planet back and now have 9 planets total.

Still got no freakin XP tho. Not even lvl1 !

I cant believe I am still alive o_O

I have a guy on one of my secondary systems that insists on giving me XP :cool: ... he sent 375 destroyers the first time and 170 the second time to a planet that I was sitting on waiting for my culture to go up :rolleyes: ... I originally had just 18 destroyers sitting there and he wiped those out so I sent a fleet worth about 1900CV and took him out :evil: ... that same fleet was waiting for him when he came back :mrgreen: Muhahahaha

Ok, anyone here know of someone in the "NASA" alliance.. I have one of their members sending 269 destroyers my way.. all because of some other idiot who tried to take me over and I blew his bluff.. ugh

I totally agree about the alliance thing.

If I understand the game correclty you have to be in an alliance to win anyway and I am just over 120 points so I would like to join one soon as I will not be able to join later!

And as a side note, is there a way to call off a fleet after sending it? If not what is the point of sending a kind message as there fleet will hit you anyway?

So what should we call our selves...the Galactic Marlins?

And no you don't need to be in one to win. For an alliance win you need 470 points average within your group for 3 days or a personal win of over 500 points for 7 days

Well, my planet had all its defenses over run... but they did accept the NAP.. So, we will see what happens next.. Thanks for the suggestion Beth, I wouldn't have thought about that if you didn't say it :)

Np =) Just make sure you go to their boards and check who all the members are, because if yuo attack one of them.. well expect the entire alliance to come after you with a vengance :P

umm, this game has boards? wth...

yup almost all the major alliances have msg boards :P If you go to the forum, then check out diplomacy you will find the links to their msg board.

You can also keep track of who is in war with who, so if there is someone attacking you, well you just msg a close known enemy =)

I must say that I have seen the donation button sitting there and taunting me, as I have now played this game for hours and am loving it!
I though I should toss a few $$ there way for making my day.

To my surprize I see that there is a lotto option, spend $3 EU and you can get free stuff, shirts, mugs, (yippi) but you can also get A$ and Supply units!! So I tossed in my cash (works out to just under $5 CDN) and blamo I have 933 A$ Wow what a return.

If any of you do this I would like to hear what you got, just wondering if I did really well or not. My boss (that I have gotten addicted to this game) did it too and he only got 320 A$ :mrgreen:

Well I am only 21 hours away from getting Cruzers and then a large attack will be sent!

Well, some bad news for me... My only partner in this game so far, now has a multi status of RED.. Ugh.. I hope he works it out.. Otherwise I am all alone out there..

Now, I kinda lost interest in the game. Seems impossible to do well unless you use kinda sneaky tactics or join a big alliance...

What do you mean ? ... I have gotten ranked as high as 294 ( fluctuates a bit day to day up to 364 ) and if a few battles had gone my way ( experience gained and next beta will be different ) I would be much higher ranked by now ... I think a wise use of race attributes, strategic acquisition of planets, a good NAP alliance and a bit of luck is what you need ... remember that some of these guys/gals have been playing since beta 1 so know what to build and when ! ... I dont think a formal alliance is necessary or desired but a good group in a NAP is key.

There will always be those willing to circumvent the system but the admins remove those that are caught ... enjoy the beta and use it as a learning experience for the next one :eek: :cool: :mrgreen:

The alliance cant win with a negative balance ... so if there is funneling of A$ it will hurt them in the end ... I have more points than the top 14 alliance :rolleyes:


And this beta is over soon anyways, I see the top alliance is at like 370 and only needs 400 to win.

You need 470 points for 3 days as a alliance to win ... my bet is that a individual will win ... the top 4 or 5 guys are part of a alliance so unless the alliance wins they are toast anyway

I am trying to look at this beta as a learning experience....

But, somethings just bug me... like how I just lost my fleet for no reason.

I had 12 battleships, 20ish cruisers and 100 destroyers sitting on an empty planet, holding it till my culture allowed the next planet. Normal plan, right?

So, I sent over my colony ships when the time was right...

Log in and see the "congratulations, we have colonised blah blah" but, my fleet of battleships, cruisers and destroyers are nowhere to be found.

Not one.

Thats a hard blow to swallow... but oh well, I write it off to a glitch in the game. So I send over 20 colony ships from 5 different planets to get the SB lvl on this new planet up to a decent amount as it is naked... the ships had less then 3 hours for all of them to get to my new planet...

Of course, I login this morning and see that I have lost all 20 colony ships cuz someone in the sector sent *5* destroyers at me! WTH! Only freaking 5!!

So... just built up 10 cruisers, sending those over now in 1 fleet. According to my planet (which I still own cuz the guy didnt send transports), there is now 25 destroyers, but he only has lvl15 science, I have lvl20 math and physics. I HOPE I will defeat him with my cruisers.... but I dunno.

Now, I wish I could figure out where my actual FLEET went... its been MIA for 2 days :(
