I so hated I had to pass up your frag sale zoaElite do to $$$ shortage :sad:, maybe next time I will be able to take part and get some of these AMAZING zoa's.

These are with my Panasonic DMC-TZ1 Camera using an underwater case and the underwater camera setting. The new zoa tank is working out pretty well, currently stocked with 2 red long finned fairy wrasses, 1 Copperband Butterfly, 1 BiColor Dotty Back, 4 Baby bangii's and 1 Saddle back clown (Will be trapping the bangiis and clown shortly).

Lighting is an 8 39W Tek 5 unit with 5 Actinic + and 3 Daylights.

First coral I ever bought was a brown Zoa frag and that was around 3 years ago. It was all down hill from there :neutral:.

This is the product that was advised, I just used the Vit C pills from super store, no major problems but I actually stopped dosing a while ago. Ran out of pills and haven't purchased new ones :redface:.

Notes:
*Be sure your pH and alk are within normal reef limits before starting. Adjust if needed. Monitor weekly.
*Shoot for a ppm of around 5 or lower if only dosing for improved coral growth, coloration, and spread. Shoot for higher amounts up to 30 ppm if you are having melting zoas or closed zoas and look for the causes of your problems as you dose. Check for high nitrates, pests, zoa pox, predators, and unstable water conditions.
*Dose low amounts and increase the amount slowly over the course of a few days to a couple weeks.
* If you notice an algae bloom or increased skim on your glass then cut back by half until it disappears.
* Watch your skimmer, it will start to skim more.
* Dose the amount twice a day in a fast moving area of your sump or overflow. You may dilute the vitamin c in ro/di water for a minute then pour into my overflow. If adding to sump, try and add the vitamin c after filtration such as skimmers and reactors.
* If you have a question, ask here. Puffy checks this thread daily.
* The instructions in this guide and throughout this thread are based on using pure Sodium Ascorbate, not vitamin c pills and other non-buffered forms of vitamin c.

Be sure to take some "before" pics!

Ahh nice Candy Apple reds, I have been looking for those for ever since seeing them in Kiens tank (Have to be one of the nicest Palys out there IMO).

I got one of those frags from him a few months ago. Pretty damn cool zoa if you ask me. They need much higher light than a lot of my other colonies in order to keep that colouration though. I think they are called pink peacock eyes.

They look like photo shopped Bam Bams. If they are they are hard to find..

+1, have been looking for bam-bams for a while now. They are a very nice red but don't "Pop" like the photo shows.

Those bam bams are something alright.
