just keep in mind where your corals are under t5's now not to shock them all at once so if its possible dont thro away the t5's just yet do your regular schedule with halides for 1 hr a day for 1 week then 2 hrs a day for 1 week and keep going untill your up to 6-8hrs of halides.

ideally you want to replicate our sun as much as possible with low light in the evenings and mornings and the highest light mid day and then moon lights.....its a hard thing to do in a 20g as there isnt alot of space but its not a must to have this just helps us replicate mother nature more better;)

sorry to say, you're pretty much done in the hobby already. The ONLY was to succeed is by asking forgiveness, not permission....

Here's a tip...you have a new baby right? Children benefit from having a tank in the house. They learn about nature, they learn patience by sitting and watching quietly, they even breath better.

"Honey, we NEED all this stuff for the baby!!"

Trust me.....

lol yeah I proved that theory to her! Our little guy was screaming and crying so I threw on the lights on the cichlid tank (4am BlahhH) sat down with him, got him focused, and boom he shut up. lol they really are a must have, its a little bit more work to keep up with when you have a new born, but as you said I am in the hobby (i think thats what you meant lol) and I have all this stuff no sense in quitting, just less time to relax haha

Nah, you just have to manage time efficiently :) Our daughter has special needs and we keep up ok. The tank actually helps lower the overall stress level for both baby and parents
I've just added the finishing touches to the 50g tank for the baby's room!

ahh yes the ro is my current escapade! I almost have her convinced! I showed her the towns water reports the other day, now she's on bottled water, I showed her some numbers, and she say, k but we'll have to set aside some money for that for down the road, soi I think I won that battle.
As for the 'vette I'll say, but what happens if the baby is sick I can get him to the hospital really fast! just kidding this is quickly becoming a mans thread lol
