I am still roasting...the water in our taps doesn't get cold enough to even have a cold shower to cool down. :(

Now that is odd, I've never had no cold water in Calgary, just a few seconds in.

Even our crawl space is hot.

The fantastic thing about this summer is that when the chiller is running it doesn't feel like its pushing out air, it feels kind of cold.

The water is cool, but not cold. Its 26 this morning. We usually keep the door open, the dog gated, and a fan pulling colder air in.

I can't remember, but are you in a condo/apartment michika?

Running two 1/4 horse chillers for two systems in a condo. Place gets to 84F +. Whew. Someone pass the Nestea, please.

Just curious, how many of you react to the thermometer and not the tank inhabitants?

Used to, not anymore I just take notice of it...and don't worry like I used to. It was too stressful watching it go up and down...but when you actually look at how the corals and fish are...they just don't care as much.

Mainfloor condo.

I usually ignore the heat, but when its 25+ I can't really ignore it. As long as the system is colder the 84 I'm okay with that. On the other hand I personally watch the thermometer because I don't do well in the heat.

Definitely the tank inhabitants, I know what my tank can take and what it can't and usually freaking out just makes it worse with my too quick solutions. Heat swings are the worst for a tank esp big ones and in that case a slow fix is better. I usually try to have my fingers in the tank every day (usually have to massage the ultralith stones anyways) so I can tell whether my chiller has blown a fuse or not
