Think I may have just lost my fleet and planet I was supposed to colonize for the second time! the last server failure I lost a fleet and just now at 4:00pm I was attcking the same planet and the server is down. ****es me off, not big fleets but the time lost huge!

Bummer on the fleets ... I have one that was supposed to land at a little after 3 pm ... wait and see when the server comes back up ( 47 hr flying time to another star system :eek: ) ... as to trade agreements it will prolly be something to explore a few weeks down the road as cash flow permits and planet availability is reduced ... for now I am just concentrating on getting as many planets as I can and get the starbases up if I dont have a ally in that star system

Good show! i think I am in for some trouble; the sleepy head beside me has started to wake up and attack. I was hoping to put all my cash into a trade agreement, but its starting to look like I am going to need to build a wack of destroyers =(

Hey Beth ... I just bought one and got it activated after the last update ... looks like it will work out good ( I am seiging 3 planets but no culture to take them over :frown: ) ... I had a celestial prism before that ( still do actually ) but I will prolly sell that today as I need the culture more than the population at this point

almost got level 15 physics tho... few more hours only.

got 7 planets now. I killed off two players but they were idle and didnt do anything so no points.

Just sent a fleet of 75 destroyers, 14 colony ships and 4 transports to another galaxy to start taking over stuff there.

I need a fast forward button for this game.

Excellent ! ... need to win some battles to get player level up and get some SU's ... try to either dominate your own Star System or at least have allies in them.

I am looking to expand into another system, one problem is that there are no real available systems nearby. All the people in those seem to be active and haveing their own little battles.. I don't want to get involved with that just yet :)

I currently rule my system with an ally. Se how we expand from here.

Increase Biology another 2 levels and see if there is a virgin Star System for you to goto and load up like Lostmind did with lots of DS / CS / TP ... even better if there is a " unknown " because that was one of my first planets and as luck would have it it had a science bonus of 12 so science was off to a great start :cool:

Well, Right now I have a fleet of over 200 Destroyers, 60 Transports and about 20 Colony ships.. I am ready to expand out.. Just need to find a system available.. I have my biology pretty high as it is. We will see.. I am still researching bio until I can find another planet to colonize.

Okay a quick question that I can just not under stand...

I just attacked a unknown planet and won!! I sent 10 destroyers and 1 colony ship (hoping to take it over), I am down to 1 colony ship and 1 destroyer, the planet is still listed as unknown and in red (so that means undersege right?) and in my fleet area the two ships are now listed (in red) at that plannet.

My question is what do I have to do to be able to colonize that plannet, is it just a time thing that I have to wait or do I need to send a transport or do I need to relaunch that colony ship? Just don't understand.

YOu need transports to kill the population. =) one trasport per population lvl.

You need to have a 1:1 ratio of transport ships and population of the planet.

so if the population is 5, you need 5 transports to finish taking it over.

or does unknown mean it may have a bonus in it?

" unknown " is a double edged sword ... you may find a artifact there BUT there could still be a fleet there as well :eek:

I just attacked and won a fight against an unknown planet and got a TONE of exp for winning, I went from level 1 to level 4 (70%)!

says I am screwed! damn. 1 more hour till I can build battleships. I gotta build like 10 of them to win :(

I got a starbase at lvl 12 but no fleet at all, as I concentrated more on building up my planets (lotsa research/culture) and not on attack/defense.

Doh.

Hope I can squeak out of this.

it's more economical to update starbase to lvl 14 then building any ships. so build starbase to lvl 14 b4 you spend any $ on ships.

yar starbases are the schnizzle!

Okay well I have a guy in my area that I want to take out, he was idle for over 10 days so I attacked and won but did not take over the planet (did not send transports) then the guy logged in and looks like he has spent all his PP on starbase's so he is up to lev 10 starbase, so my question is what the hell do I need to kill that? I have been playing with the battle calc but when I say I have 80 dest and he has 10 starbase it still only gives me something like a 40% chance to win, any bright idea's?

2nd part to this ? is I am working with a guy in my area and we could attack together but if we both send dest to the same planet do you know if we would be attacking each other?

so how many people do we have here that are over player level 5? And of those people how many people want to join an alliance? I am player level 5 (almost 6) but I don't have the $8000 needed to start/join, I hope to have it in the next week or so though.

Let me know if you want to work on joining up.

I think a informal alliance is far better ( not to menion cheaper :lol: ) ... we can do trade agreements without a formal alliance ... too late for me anyway as I am over 200 points :razz: :rolleyes: :mrgreen: :cool:

At the very beginning ... the science bonus is nice but if you have not selected a race it is not that big a deal.

Wow, the battle calculator sucks :(

I had 89 destroyers, 1 battleship and a level 13 starbase vs. that holfy fleet. I estimated both his sciences at lvl 15 (cuz his profile said lvl 15 science) and still the battle calculator said my chance of winning was 1 to 0.

Well, I lost.

I only killed 70% of his fleet.

And, to top it off, he has sent *8* !!!!!!!! more fleets after me. Sooo...

Guess I wait to be killed off and maybe start again. God damn.

Turn all your points into cash, leave it withone of us and restart. That way when you reach lvl one you have disposable cash =)

Its not too bad starting over =) Maybe you will be closer to some of us =)

I actualy started laughing out loud. The guy is attacking a planet I just colonized so I have no SB. He is level 1 or something. But since it is not going to get to my planet till the 29th I figured I would just let my PP go into the factory. I already have over 20 destroyers at the planet and decided to send a small armada over to it as well, some 26 colony ships along with 65 destroyers.. I figured an hour before he arrives I will plop up my SB then say hi by sending my own personal fleet.. some 200 destroyers to pay him or her :) a visit. should be fun.. :biggrin:

Ok, this is killing me.

I have a physics of 16 and a math of 9.

I have an enemy fleet in my orbit of one of my planets. He cant colonise me cuz I killed all his transports.

However, he had only 50 destroyers in my orbit. So far, I have sent 2 battleships and close to 70 destroyers to kill him. In two fleets.

YET, he still has 32 destroyers in my orbit! I CANT KILL THIS GUY! Why? Anyone? Please? What am I doing wrong?

I always send them in one fleet and that way the CV will be higher than his ... he could also have a race bonus that you have not factored in ... now when I use the battle calculator I am assuming a race bonus for my opponents defence at +4, Math & Physics even ( I am at Math 15 & Physics 16 ) and a 1 - 0 winning percentage for myself.

He might have a really high Math lvl giving him 50% better defense.
