http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ps2ed58bf8.jpg Not happy with how cluttered the left side rock is. And how spars the corals is on the right side. Were in the process of finding a new place to live so that will be adjusted when the time comes. I will be going on vacation soon (wednesday!) so this will be my before shot to compare growth of three weeks. I am lucky to have a good reefer checking in on my tank while I'm away (thanks Spencer!). |
Great photos! Amazing setup!

Great pictures.... Keep them coming!

Well We will use the photo in post 122 as our marker. Going on vacation for three weeks to Cebu, Either i will have a very over grown aquarium or a very dead one. Wish me luck. I will post a comparison shot when i get back

Jon, thank you for inviting me over today. I can't believe how fast your corals have grown and that green acro and milli... Wow! :jaw:
Had a great time chatting reef tank stuff and shooting our cameras of your corals and all. Your tank is certainly impressive and no pictures can replicate the real McCoy! For those that are not from the island here are pics from Jon's tank... ( warning... There are many!) http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/p...psebe9cca7.jpg http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps04cf2858.jpg http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps245cb738.jpg http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/p...psa8749283.jpg http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/p...psb8614761.jpg http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/p...ps966a0c85.jpg Thanks for frag sitting this one for me. I can't believe you've got a Harlequin Tusk in that tank! Does he not bother any of the other fish??
The tank looks stunning though Jon. Nice job! |
Wow great thread! It was awesome to see the progression of your tank. Very well done. Maybe I missed it but what are you using for lights?
|
Photos look phenomenal! And great collection of reefy goodness you've got going on in there.

After talking a bit with Wayne, I am going to move aorund some of the colonies to balance the look. Maybe attack it this weekend, right now im too busy enjoying the surfing in Tofino http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ps93e0cfea.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...psdad43611.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ps3ff4e054.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ps32dd5b61.jpg |
Well little bit of an update. Woke up yesterday to find out the tusk was not to be found. I fed the tank in hopes to lure him out then started poking around. looked inside the tank and all around/under the stand with no fish in sight. I had to work so i decided i would give him some time in case he was sleeping or something.
Still nothing, Decided to rip the tank apart to find his body. Pulled out 3/4 of the rock, unmounted all coral pieces and did a search...No fish. put all the rocks back in and glued down some of the coral pieces. going to finish off today. In my "conditioning" tank i had a cbb fattening up for the 90. looked in there today and saw that he had wedged himself in between two rocks. Some days this hobby can just suck your soul out. |
:( Sorry to hear that ...
|
Jon, I still can't believe that the tusk have just vanished...

Sorry to hear about the Tusk, Jon. Strange that only days after me asking about him that he disappears. (No, he's not in my tank.. ;) ) |
