Lots of dendros at J&L. $25 a polyp if IIRC.

Why are dendros so expensive?

I think it could be that they don't multiply very quickly (i.e. create a new head). Mine has just become bigger over time. I treat and feed it like a sea anemone and have had no problems. They add some nice colour to the tank and their sticky tentacles will also catch any food particles that pass by during feeding. I start by shutting down the power heads and filter and target feed it (as well as the acans) but it will continue to catch particles after I turn everything back on. Overall, I don't think feeding is that big an issue.

Mine is SUPER tiny in comparison, and we paid $15 for one polyp. But it eats very well (easy to feed), and is growing quite well.

how do you feed them?
|
feeding can be done with mysis or whatever meaty foods you use. just squirt it on them with a turkey baster or pipette.
i like using sinking pellet food. much easier and really hard to over feed with pellets. |
what happens if you over feed?
|
It affects water quality.
