Tank looks slick!

I'll be ordering my tank soon... similar to yours.
Well boxing week sales will be coming up for you to pick up whatever odds and ends you still need! :p

Nice looking tank.

When you figure the cost of labour and glass and other materials, not that expensive.

Elos and Red Sea look for a LOT more $ per gallon than a local built tank. As said, is it Elos/Red Sea perfect? No, but you are not paying for that level of perfection.

The hook for me was that there is no box inside the tank. The external overflow is huge. There is a small relief above each bank of teeth that would act as a 4 foot long weir should the teeth get blocked or overwhelmed. I can't imagine that scenario but that extra feature is there.

I wish there was such a thing as purchasing time at a boxing day sale. I would buy a week of time so I could get this going and not lose any world time.

That is a nice overflow, I ended up with the Synergy Reef overflow, came out pricey but worth it IMO. Are you going to run 1.5" drains from your overflow as well?

brotherd 12-18-2016 01:47 AM

I like the Synergy as well. And the plan is to run the inch and a half drains. If I find that the Beananimal is unstable with my return pump being in the basement I may reduce the full syphon drain to 1".
