I sourced all of my bean animals from a reliable supplier. Trust me, they are all bean animals. I have all paperwork if you would like proof of their true lineage. I would not skimp out on such an important part of my tank.

:drinking: Oh Kien! You've been into the moonshine again, haven't you?

My 10 yr old niece wants to know how many bean animals your using and you better not have a kitty in the mix or she will be very cross with you

zhasan 03-16-2013 10:12 PM

hahaha.. This is awesome! I read the email and was actually looking forward to see how this was different! You certainly brought a big smile on a lot of faces!!

Proof is required, yes. PDF is fine :twised:

Hate to see false bean on such a great tank.

How I Take Top Down Photos Of My Tank

I've had a few people come by over the past couple of days picking up frags and one question thats been asked a few times is how do I take top down photos. So, I decided to do a little, "behind the scenes" for everyone at home. It's quite simple actually, and goes something like this..

http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/...psbf5a4d62.jpg

Hope that helps.

Is the chair (in the middle) for helping you to get on the other stools?

A ladder has no place in our dining room unfortunately. I suppose I could ask Levi where he got his ladder from. That one looks like it might fit with our decor.

Kien, I think you got ripped off. Things coming out of there are knockoffs and do not use real beans.

Kien, +10000 for originality! Really helps to remind me that this is all but a hobby so let it be fun!
PS: should this be moved over to the DIY thread, no?

Ya, got lucky on a lot of these pieces. Sometimes they come in brown, or they turn brown or uninteresting as soon as they hit the tank so I can totally understand how some people can get frustrated easily with SPS. Some of these pieces I had to wait MONTHs for them to colour up or grow but once they do, it can be quiet a show. Anyome who's been at the SPS game long enough knows that it's all about patience.

A prime example is the Acropora insignis ("Fooser's Pearlberry") in the previous post. It was a brown stick for months and you can still see its ugly brown base. But then it finally started to grow and you can see the nice colours growing out of the ugly brown.

Another example is this guy. Have no idea what it is but came in on an order completely browned out and didn't do anything for months. Kinda forgot about it because it blended in with the brown rockwork LOL. Then I recently noticed that it started to grow develop some colour.
