Tell Burc bad idea to ship live corals to arrive Friday. Always ship earlier in the week or risk having everything stuck in a warehouse somewhere over the weekend.

I've talked to SHF and weekday arrival is preferred. Any delays during the weekends could possibly mean getting the package on Monday and leading to a whole shipment of dead corals. Why risk it though? We've waited so long so 2-3 more days isn't going to seem much (although I know everyone is anxious with their orders including me). I've relayed to Burc that we hope to have the shipment shipped on Monday and arrive on Tuesday. Just waiting for the confirmation :)

ok. we finally have the date firm with Burc. Completely forgot Wed is a holiday so it's gonna be set for delivery for the following day:

FRIDAY JULY 3rd

Please PM SeaHorse_Fanatic for his address. The pickup will be in Burnaby as originally planned. Thanks SHF for taking time to receiving the shipment and floating them in your tanks. If you have any concern or won't be able to pick up, we will see if there are any members heading out in your direction.

Please do not change your orders. It takes time for me to communicate between me and Burc and there are never guarantees that things could be changed due to time, other orders, etc. This is just to keep things simple for everyone. Due to the delay everyone is going to get free frags so please be patient. We're almost till the end. :)

I've sent Burc the final list along with the shipping address and the confirmed date. I've noted the change so hopefully he packs it according to the latest list.

Last shipment he threw in a random free frag for each person This time, I dunno how many free frags each person is getting. All he said was that we will be getting a lot of free frags for being patient with him :)

ok. i did some detective work and snooped around ;)
...this is what I found out based on Calgary's recent order:

Something came up here at home and I don't think I will be able to come out and pick up the frag. Do you know of anyone else coming out from abby that would be able to bring it this way? If not I might half to donate it to someone or if you want it. How does the frag look? Is it in good shape? I feel bad asking you this so late.

Well, FEDEX was late. Woke up at 9:30 to make sure I wouldn't be away from the window, but it wasn't delivered until 2pm and only after I called and complained (ok, bItched) to Fedex about the missed noon deadline.

Last person picked up their frags around 7pm so long day to deal with a group buy. Oh well, that's what you get for volunteering. Have yet to hear of a group buy that went perfectly.

Good to meet and talk with everyone who came by.

Just got an update from Burc. His fragalot.ca server email crashed so whatever was sent before never got to him. I've emailed him directly to sort out any additional questions other members have and hopefully we can get things rolling.

No response from Burc for almost 2 weeks. I did sent off at least 3 emails during that time. Might have to see what the mods can do about negligent sponsors.

Not much we can do to enforce him contacting you, but I did post a thread in his forum about his conduct that isnt getting deleted, so you can also comment there.
