Neal, I think the best thing is to return to your location and let everyone make their own way to dinner. The logistics get nasty otherwise!

OK, new question: Jump in with a reply about dinner, just note the number of people in your party. I don't see any reason to be restrictive.

Matt, yes for dinner, 2 ppl.

fishoholic 03-25-2008 06:57 PM

Steve and I planed on taking our car to Earls from Neal's store after the tour. That's 2 people for dinner.

fencer 03-25-2008 07:36 PM

Count me in

fishoholic 03-26-2008 02:41 AM

FYI for anyone who is as dumb as me  March 30th is Sunday not Sat. Thanks Dan (Boomboy) for clueing me in! No worries Matt we're still in.

Matt 03-26-2008 01:27 PM

Jason (Edmonton Eskimo) has informed me that he is working this weekend, and can't participate in our little reef crawl. :( Don't you feel a cough coming on, Jason? <hack> <sniff>. Can't work when you're feeling like that, can you?

Jason was both a participant and a host, so we've lost a stop, so we'll miss him doubly.

mr_alberta 03-26-2008 01:43 PM

I'm down for dinner as well.

Joe Reefer 03-26-2008 02:10 PM

I'm in for dinner too! Can you put me down for 2. (Maybe I can convince Lori to come for dinner with a bunch of fish geeks.)

Matt,
if there is time and people want, I wouldn't mind opening up my house to tour as well.
I finally just got my 180 up and running and wouldn't mind people's opinions.
LMK what you think
Neal

Open seat

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

I just found out that I have to head out of town with work, so there should be a seat for someone on the wait list. This sucks! I hope everyone has a great time. Can someone forward me some pics of the tour?

Shane

Parker 03-28-2008 03:30 PM

You can count me in for dinner.. Just me though, my better half won't be able to make it.

I wish I had my tank up an running, my wife said she wouldn't have minded having everyone over, maybe next time.

angelfan 03-28-2008 07:40 PM

dinner

dinner sounds good too. So do i just show up at the new store around one or 2 or is there new plans:question: let me know if anything changes:biggrin: i cant wait!!!

Matt 03-28-2008 07:41 PM

Dinner snafu

I've been waiting to make a dinner reservation until I had a better sense of the numbers. I then learned that Earl's doesn't take reservations at all. So, do we just show up, or do we replan location/strategy?

angelfan 03-28-2008 07:53 PM

dont take reservations? thats weird

we dont need dinner but do u think they would be that busy on sunday evening anyways. i've never been to earls but heard its really good

1:30 pm at Neals. Make sure Matt knows about you wanting to go and that there is room. Since some people have backed out I believe there is room, but it's best to have Matt confirm it.

mr_alberta 03-28-2008 09:41 PM

Going to a restaurant with a large party without a reservation can only lead to disaster IMO.

I agree. May I suggest Chili's? The prices and food is simular to Earls and I know you can make reservations. There is one close to 97st on 137ave in the parking lot of Northtown/gate (never remember which) mall. It's usually not to busy at that Chilli's, so we should be able to make reservations no problem. What does everyone think?

Jeff_ 03-28-2008 11:52 PM

I say sure to chilli's too.

howdy20012002 03-29-2008 12:00 AM

I agree.
we need to find somewhere that takes reservations.
Chili's gets my vote.
Neal

Boomboy 03-29-2008 12:36 AM

Hi Matt, did you want me to make the reservations.... or did you mean Laurie?

Matt 03-29-2008 03:14 AM

It's all good, I've mixed up names before too! I'll call Chili's and make the reservations, I believe they open at 11am. Matt do you know for how many? I'm not sure everyone on the tour is going out for dinner, and I know others were going to meet us for dinner. Should I just say for 20-24 people? lmk

It never got really tight with responses, so I was going for 20 or so.

Matt
