Seem to be. They're all eating and swimming around like nothing happened that's what's so weird about it. I wonder what could have caused her to die with in 2 hours after being (seemingly) fine all day...

subman 12-19-2012 03:21 AM

is it possible a chunk of food got stuck in her mouth causing her to drown?

Nano 12-19-2012 03:23 AM

Possible. It's just flake food, but its entirely possible. I just hope it wasn't brook' or some disease..

subman 12-19-2012 03:27 AM

seems unlikely it was a disease, as it came on so quickly out of the blue.

Nano 12-19-2012 03:29 AM

Yeah I suppose so.

11purewater 12-19-2012 03:30 AM

something sting her?

subman 12-19-2012 03:30 AM

crappy either way. Sorry buddy

Nano 12-19-2012 03:33 AM

It's ok thanks Jason. I'll have to break the flake up a bit in the future or switch to the small pellets. It Mau be for the best right now as the tank is lacking biofiltration.

she's dead :(

Sorry for your loss, I had a freshwater fish die almost exactly the same way, just after I fed the tank, I think it got a large piece of food stuck and drown as well. That really sucks!
