http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/a...l/DSC_0101.jpg here's a tracha....something... quick question for all the lps pros - i feed it a few times a week but i have noticed the color has gone from a deep red to almost a transluecent pinky red. I have it in a shallow tank with an 8 bulb ATI sunpower over it. Do you think i am probably bleaching it or over feeding it? this is what it looked like when i first got it - http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/a...l/P1010355.jpg thanks guys! |
Lightening of corals is caused by not enough food and/or too much light....just the opposite of brown corals which indicate too much nutrient (NO3/PO4) and/or not enough light.
Corals may get lighter once in your tank and it may be just as healthy or even more healthy but you have to watch and make sure that they are still happy, growing and not going too far down the path to bleaching. Bascially if you like it pink rather than red and the brain seems to not be getting lighter and lighter and is happy ....no problem. |
i dunno if these are ultra, but these are my faves.
