I used red flakes (prime reef) for about two years. Still green. Interesting. How is it today Marko? |
I adjusted it. It's thick and black :)

To me it looks like some algae concentrated in there. Maybe some green/blue cyanobacterias? They can be quite colorful. As long as there is none in the water that is concentrated enough to be visible I would not worry.
Are you dosing any carbon? |

I would suspect some algae in your tank sporulated which would also explain why your skimmer is wetter then usual

Some more than others... Cyclopeeze, formula 2, spirulina brine, and tetra colour pellets are some of the ones you notice more. Foods like prime reef flakes from ocean nutrition have a pretty bland color to them, so you won't notice it as much. Also Markod, start feeding a bit of variety... Nls pellets are great, but variety is the spice of life. Hikari is releasing a new couple of foods into our market January. Keep a watch for them, very clean pellets and the fish love em. |
it happens to me when there is food left overs
or if i forgot to remove whats not eaten in the clip rooggers reef food or my pellets the next day, for sure my skimmate is neon green or blue |
No I mean like dosing vodka or other carbon source :)
