Yes, the rains were, or should I say are pretty localized. Its still coming down too. I guess the weather fronts on all sides are just holding the moisture here, until there is no more moisture left! Last night there was flash flooding in Calgary's south west. I heard on the radio that only this morning it has dried up a bit.
I'm debating moving to Vancouver to get some sunshine. |
It's been raining most of the night and into this morning. No signs of it abating. We really need it up here. For the past week and a half, it's been cloudy but with little rain.

Here's a pic of a 1929 flood in Calgary's downtown area. The site said that every year there is a 1 in 100 chance of this happening.

I see now you guys are getting funnel cloud sightings.. be carefull out there.
Steve |
We got 2 inches in an hour lastnight. Funnel clouds as close as picture butte for us taberites and lethbirdge people.
But the local guys that are doing some touching up with thier hunting dogs are just smiling; all this rain raised the water level so there is less places for the pheasants to hide. More points more practice. No one from this area should fail their hunt tests this fall. lol |
what is the weather forecast for Calgary/Red Deer area this weekend?

All times are GMT. The time now is 03:43 AM. |
