79 degrees firm now with an open tank. My last tank ran 84-86 degrees with a glass top.

I keep my tanks at 79.0. I have had problems with the heaters sticking on and have recently purchased a Medusa Controller. It is fantastic. As my tanks are in the basement I have not had a requirement for cooling so far.

My tank jumps from 78 at night to 82 with the halides on, it will go higher if the fan does not go on.
