i was talking to a buddy of mine and he tells me that If you have to many cleaners in the tank IE- Cleaner shrimp ot cleaner wrasses. they will nip at the lips of the clam causing to to break away from the body and once that happens it a goner os on it's way to be a goner.

Just is what i heard and was told.
