Thanks H2o2 & Jakegr that is the kind of info/experience I am talking about.

I'm really close to 500gal system but 90 gals of it will be mostly coral mainly Zoas. The main display of 300 gals is where the monsters from my 165 will be.

I am leaning towards the Pro SSS-DC3. I like the DC pump, foot print and the Turbulence Reducing Wine Glass Body has me intrigued.

Oh boy

BTW this skimmer is rated for 250 gallon heavy bioload, won't it be a bit under rated for the gigantic size of your system?

Yah but I was going through this site (http://www.reefspecialty.com/reef-oc...rotein-skimmer) and this is what is written:

Filtration Handling

400 Gallon – Light Filtration Demand | 300 Gallon – Medium Filtration Demand | 250 Gallon – Heavy Filtration Demand

Reef Octopus's own web site states good for 2000 liter or 528 gals
