Well, just an update.

I managed to reclaim my planet and while my original fleet is still MIA, I have managed to put together another 20 battleships, 15 cruisers and 30 destroyers and am sending them at a planet in my sector.

The guy is ranked WAYYY higher then me, but he has been idle for 4 days now - strange thing is, he is ranked so much higher but his sciences are only lvl 15 where mine are 20 and he only has 1 more planet then I do.... guess its all due to XP.

I have watched two of his other planets get taken out in the past 2 days, so I figure I would attack his last planet in this sector and see if I can earn some XP. I hope he doesnt login for the next 5 hours or so :)

He only has a low level starbase on this planet. I am thinking this would mean that he has a decent sized fleet on the planet. But, perhaps not as he is also in the other sector I can see and he has built up his starbases pretty high over there...

Anyways, wish me luck! Maybe I can finally earn some XP... or perhaps I'll have my ass handed to me again.

Anyone know why my culture is 9 but it won't let me colonize my ninth planet. It says I must increase culture first?

I had that problem before.

I sent a couple colony ships to a spare planet when my culture was too low to capture the planet. I then waited until my culture went up and thought the ships would automatically colonise. But they didnt. I ended up sending the colony ships BACK to the same planet and then they colonised the planet.

All that happened is you did not log-in after your culture went up but before your fleet arrived.

Launch them back to the same planet and it will colonize

okay a few quick questions for you that have played before this beta...

I am wondering what happens after the game is done, do you just start over with one planet?

Do you get a bonus based on your fleet or # of planets?

Just wondering how it all starts and if I should do or not do something as the game is ending, looks like there are a few people that are very close to 500 (excluding the hacker).

Sucks tho, cant figure out how to make culture go up faster.

Trade agreements are the schnizzle! I will be saving and making agreements on the next beta rather then wasting money on artifacts!

ranked 1908!!! Not too shabby for having to resign =) I am sure I will do much better next beta!

Ranked 334 now but got as high as 294 for a few days :cool: ...

I agree on trade agreements but early on they wont pay as much dividends as artifacts ... also if that player gets toasted then there goes one of your agreements :sad: ... I think they are good a little later in the game.

The next beta should be interesting ... I will be in the hunt next time :mrgreen:

I am currently ranked 1200... not too bad for my first beta so far..
