Have been waiting for this day to come for a few weeks, prop to Ray @ Reef Supplies for getting my new piece of the puzzle in a very short amount of time.

So with that said here it is............my new REEF OCTOPUS PRO SSS-DC3 skimmer..............

Oooo, sexy! Curious what your thoughts are on the internal pump...thinking of eventually upgrading mine and trying to decide on features.

The way they got this beast built I think it will kick ass, impeller has a needle wheel & the whole thing comes apart real easy for cleaning. I should have taken pic of it apart but I was excited to see it assembled.

Found some really neat flexible LED strips at Peavey Mart & thought they would be really cool to shed some light on my sump. Oh ya and I got my top trim cut, painted & installed on top of the tank.

looking great! sorry if i missed it but what is the notch in the face of the sump for? just for easier access?

It was there already in the sump, don't know what it was for but when I get the baffles in I will decide if I need to fill it in.
