Nice! Did all your ice melt or did you haul the ice out of your pond ? Mine still has a couple of icebergs in it. I suppose in could remove them and do a 100% water chnage like you did. Also, you're not feeding your fish already are you? I didn't think you were allowed to feed them till the water temp go up to 10 degrees.

Excellent !!
New pics plz  |

The only ice I had to get rid of was in the sump. I just used hot water (cause I can get hot water from my outside taps). There was a bit if ice all around the edges too, but that melted during the water change. I won't feed the koi for probably a couple of months still. |

Not pic worthy yet. My yard is still full of snow all around the pond with all of my yard furniture stacked to the side. I just wanted to get the ball rolling with the pond cause we're supposed to have another cold snap here soon. |
The ice was off mine a couple of weeks ago. Saw all my fish on the weekend and looks like they wintered quite well. I usually lose a goldfish or 2 each winter but didn't find any dead this time.

I didn't find any dead until I did the thorough clean and drain. I think the small goldfish aren't too smart, they go and swim off to the shallows and get frozen in there. The big ones just stay at the bottom. I'm glad I got it running. Snowing like crazy here today. |
Really nice yard
Thanks for the read |

Looks like an amazing winter landscape. If only I had the willpower to complete something like that.
