Why not just skip the SCWD and build a controller to alternate the each pump cycle.

Have you bought the pumps yet? The new ones have built in 0-10V ability, but aren't out yet. Pretty sure building a controller for the old ones wouldn't be all that difficult either. I've been waiting for someone else to do it so I can copy them, hence my suggestion  In terms of reliability can't see much going wrong, never had issues with controllable DC pumps like Tunze before, at least not relating to the controller portion of it. |
WOW
Tagging along on this one buddy, My question is:
Although you have tons of room, why did you decide to go with the internal overflow over an external one ? Can't wait to see the closed loop setup :lol: |
Have you thought about a closed loop for this tank?

|
All I can say is with all those holes I don't think it's gonna hold much water
|
Question. What do you plan to have in 30&60g tanks. Species specific or different types of fish or coral?

Have you ever noticed that a hug is a sort of closed loop of arms? (.. I'm just saying...)
In all seriousness I'm not a huge fan of closed loops either, Grizz. Carry on, and have fun with da build... |

'Bout time you started this thread
Good thing I read through it all to understand all the holes in the back before I asked the 'sensitive' question :twised: About your dedicated circuit; Are you planning on more than 1 ? I ran 2 to my DT and keep the sump on one, with the tank lights and vortechs on the other Plus my RKL powerbars are plugged into both, so there's no problem with everything going down if a breaker trips. God forbid as I have GFCIs everywhere  |
It's about time this thread got going!! Only a month for water, geez, can't you go any faster........
