I started dosing "Prodibio" a month ago and I am starting to see some changes for the better in the reef. I think I always had my best display tank results when I was carbon dosing back in 2007/2008 but the cost of the Polyp - labs "reefresh" in a larger tank was just too steep however I think Prodibio may be the answer. I also like that the dosing only needs to be done every two weeks instead of daily.

My "peek a boo" blenny -

I love the personality blennies have, when this one isn't in it's little cave it likes to lean against this coral and I assume it thinks I can't see it.

Pretty much started the display from scratch again this year so the tank has a long way to go but things are now finally stable again. Here is a side view shot.

i have a 3 full kits of the polyp lab refresh stuff left i was thinking on running on my small 25g according to the charts the few kits i have could last 2-3yrs. im worried about the food whether or not it expires( i imagine it does quickly) but ive been using it for a month now and so far so good hehehe:P

Greg I can't believe your keeping that blue mini carpet all to yourself! It's unlike you not to share.

Greg your tank is truly a masterpiece and very inspirational! I hope my tank looks as beautiful one day!

Did you catch that crab?

We'll see how big it gets. I'm starting to think it is just a juvenile carpet and not a mini maxi. That said it is pretty cool.

Thanks Sheena. If things stay stable, keep coloring up and filling in then the coralscape I have planned should eventually come together but it has a long long way to go.

No I haven't even tried to catch that crab :twised: yet but I did glue a few colonies down that are near his den so he quits pushing them over and/or into each other.

I can't get my controller/doser to work so I have been manuallydosing for about a month now (I should thank my wife who does it when I am away) but as seen in this & the last posts although things are still on the mend the colors in the display are starting to fill in again.

Mine is located in heavy flow about mid tank under a 14K 250 w HQI MH. Just give it some time and patience. I know the patience part is easier said than done.

A few pieces in a state of transition

Here is another variety of A.microclados I think should have some potential
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...icroclados.jpg
This is another coral to watch - believed to be A. scherzeriana
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...RWunknown1.jpg
The tips on this cerealis are getting metalic hues (camera skills suck)
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...lisbluetip.jpg

This one hasn't even made it out of the prop system yet but I'm digging the pink corallites contrasted with red polyps and it's starting to get some blue growth tips
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...bluemille1.jpg
I love what this Cyphestrea colony is doing right now.
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...phdecadia1.jpg

It should be interesting to see how this guy colors up.

Is the the supergrape milli? I didn't think it survived your "crash". Did you ever figure out what caused your troubles anyways?

No that isn't the supergrape, it's a different very hairy mille' - pink base with baby blue polyps. There were too many things that went wrong to list here but I believe I have them sorted out now. (knock on wood)

Thanks.
You may have noticed it certainly has a lot of them. As time progresses I will post some transitional shots to keep you "a-breast" of the growth and such. Eventually I will make some frags available so I'm sure you'll want one and then likely write back to say thanks for the "mammories"

I am confident your PPS will become very colorful but it does seem to like to take it's time.

I've got mine under heavy flow and about mid height in the tank under 250W halide + 4 T5s. What about you Denny?

Snappy 10-11-2012 10:39 PM

Kevin I'm sure yours will start coloring up real soon. My piece with the most color is mid tank in heavy flow under 250 W MH. That said I 'm sure it must be getting some T5 lighting as well from the rear tank fixtures.
What kelvin are your MH bulbs?

I use Phoenix 14K 250W and 4xT5 (KZ Superblue)

pretty much the same , lots of flow and 1 x 250w halide(20000k) just minus the t5's so my tank runs full blast from 8-9 to 8-9, im kinda limited to everything in my tank being crazy close the the light, this piece robably sits 8-9" directly under thee bulb itself.

its new to me but is getting color fast , will see how it does so far so good:)
