I think I'm gonna put radions on my dolphin tank. Put them on demo mode and teach the dolphin to dance as if he were at a disco

Like Elias says, this species are egglayers, not Mammals as another posted. If you get a Penguin, I'm sure it would hatch them for you.

Lampshade 03-13-2012 04:16 PM

I hear dolphins are very intelligent. Does anyone have a guide on how I could teach it to do my taxes? If so I may get 2 so I can start a home business.

reefme 03-13-2012 04:46 PM

Let start seal up my basement and fill with saltwater. Good thing I bought so much salt on Boxing day.

I heard dolphin soup tastes good

KevinK 03-13-2012 05:56 PM

ok every one

lets get real here,

lets put aside the $$ to get one, as I would consider this as something you save for, ore gust get a bit of L.O.C. to get it

but what you all forget is that every now and then, we se reefers napping on the price of salt, in relation to how often you do a water change and how big the tank is.

reading up a bit, thy eat a fair amount, and thus, it has to go somewhere (out the dolphin's plumbing.

do you know how much maintaining good water will cost you, by doing water changes !!

these cost hit you each time you do them,

and I hate it if some get into it, and after a while realise, it is not for them, and put it up for adoption,

than someone ells gets it as a pet pall, and after a year again realise it is not for him.

we se it so often, its fun, it's nice, get it.

so I urge to consider the cost that will hit you for up keep.

if you can convince your wife, no more tanning, forget the RV, kids, hmmm, thy can bike to school, and in stead of a flat screen, you walk to the library, than go AHEAD.

(all assuming your income is 150.000 minus) in case you have more than 150.000, don't consider the cost, only the fact that you go into it for a minimum of 20 years ore so (and if you have any feelings for the fish, YOU CANT DIVORCE ! and move on)

reefme 03-13-2012 06:28 PM

If you ask the fire department nicely the might let you use the fire hydrant. For salt collect them from the road when snow all melted.

I plan on selling tickets to the neighbor kids for dolphin rides. Should be enough to cover the extra costs involved.

Reefgoat 03-13-2012 07:13 PM

Is 10 gallons enough for two or should I upgrade to a 20 gallon?

I think a sea clone skimmer ought to do the trick and help with bringing the cost down on W/Cs:mrgreen:....

MarkoD 03-13-2012 09:20 PM

That was way to passionate to be a joke.

it seems my other fish do not like him yet, and i tried to feed it by hand as the guy at the store for fishys said it is very friendly......when it bites your fingers off what does that mean?? amonia perhaps?? i should add another and see if that helps with the aggression:):)

Are you positive it is a dolphin? Sounds more like a great white. Easy to confuse the two as they look almost identical, except for the drain on top of the dolphin's head.

i have noticed that its picking at my clams though....think i need a waterchange:P

MarkoD 03-14-2012 11:40 PM

Geofrog 03-15-2012 02:11 AM

A complete cycle should do the trick. BTW, is it a Rocky Mountain Dolphin or the prairie variety?

hopefully its the rocky mountain variety....Ive heard they are easier to keep.....the prairie dolphin feeds heavily on prairie oysters, which can be hard to come by sometimes....

MarkoD 03-15-2012 02:34 AM

everyone knows that the aussie ones are the easiest to keep
