Well as you can tell by the pics, I dont have any fish in this tank.
Any ideas on what I could put in here, maybe a pair of something small.

Thanks

Looking Good!! looks like you're getting some growth!

triggereef 07-29-2009 04:15 AM

Hey!

tank looks great by the way!!

i was thinking either a pair of skooter blennys, mandrines, or twinspot gobys along with a six line and mabey a couple cardinals..(bangji cardinals or pajama cardinals)

That would look absolutly amazing in there!

BlueAbyss 07-29-2009 07:12 AM

Looking awesome! I love that chalice (correct me if I'm wrong, the coral in pic 4 above?) and those orange zoas are awesome.

Coincidentally 07-29-2009 05:22 PM

That chalice is absolutely beautiful. I am going to hold out for one that looks like that!

Canuckgod420 07-30-2009 03:33 AM

I have another larger piece of that chalice that I believe I am going to frag up soon.
If anyone has interest, let me know.

Seems popular. I'm just requesting one now so another reefer has a chance. Thanks!

Hi man, how 'bout a trade for that purple tipped green polyped thing from the "brown out sale" at Oceans...

Canuckgod420 07-31-2009 03:29 AM

FTS?

christyf5 08-15-2009 03:20 PM

FTS due today!!

Canuckgod420 08-16-2009 02:41 AM

Heres my FTS for the month.....growth is slow, but I'm happy with the way things are moving along.
The hot weather a few weeks ago didnt really effect the tank(to my suprise), I guess my fan and hood system works better than I thought.
I pulled 2 of the sps frags on the top rock cause they didnt seem to be doing so well, but the little milli is growing right along.
Also, I have a fish now.....got a bi-colour blenny, I sit here at the computer staring at the tank, he sits on the rocks staring at me....lol, its kinda funny.
Anyways, heres a shot from each side.....enjoy:biggrin:

BlueAbyss 08-16-2009 07:40 AM

I'm looking at your new pics and I just realized that I have similar zoa frags... the reddish orange with light blue centers look almost exactly the same. I also have a frag with a green fringe, blue ring, and orange mouth... your's has the blue and orange reversed. Have you decided if you'll be adding a fish (or two)?

Canuckgod420 08-16-2009 03:23 PM

I added a bi-colour blenny.....what a character.

BlueAbyss 08-17-2009 12:04 AM

OMG /facepalm... I realize now I read that in your post (Duh).

Blennies are very neat fishes. I looked at a couple blennies in Calgary but decided I wanted something smaller.

tinatom 08-17-2009 02:47 AM

Looking sweet, now when you gonna help me with my tank.

Canuckgod420 08-17-2009 03:13 AM

I was just checking out some tank photos and am impressed with some of the growth rates....

Well I guess it about time I added another full tank shot.
Not much happening lately, been kinda tied up with the main display rebuild.
I had to remove the pink milli frag I had on the top rock, it was starting to bleach out from the base up.
Anyways, here it is for this month.

Looking great! Are those Aussie duncans, they are big!

Boomboy 09-22-2009 03:58 AM

great shots of your tank, it really makes a difference on how we perceive your tank. i love that the chalice is front and center on the end shot.

Canuckgod420 09-23-2009 01:49 AM

Thanks for the nice comments.

Yes those are duncans, started with 1 head, now theres 23.

That chalice is my favorite piece....pics just dont do it justice.
I had another piece of it, so I fragged it and now the frags are all slowly losing flesh....hopefully a couple will survive ( some members here where hoping to get some).

Canuckgod420 09-23-2009 01:51 AM

i dont blame them, i would want a piece if i could get my hands on one. i got out for a little while because i moved and lost mostly everything so i didnt want to set it back up now im setting up a 25G and slowly make my way to a 40 or 50G breeder tank, with a unique twist. what kind of camera are you using?? and on what settings? just curious do you have actinics on your tank? maybe get a shot of that if you could for us.

Ron99 09-23-2009 04:47 AM

Looking good. So are we the only ones left in the contest?

BlueAbyss 09-23-2009 05:32 AM

I'm still in, I believe. But I think I'm voting for this one anyhow  Those duncans are too awesome.

sharuq1 09-23-2009 06:55 PM

So beautiful! I love the duncans.

Canuckgod420 09-23-2009 10:29 PM

thanks for the great comments!!

I do have an actinic bulb in my fixture...only problem is all the bulbs are controlled by one cord/timer. I also have a pink bulb in there as well but I think I'm gonna replace it with another actinic, that should light up the duncans and hammer a little more.
