Welcome to Canreef Ginzo!!

Your setup looks fantastic so far. Very nice DIY stand and canopy.
Keep us updated as to the stocking of it.

deepRED 02-15-2007 09:39 PM

Here is one of my setups:

205 Gallon Custom (72"x30"x22")
125 Gallon Sump/refugium
3 x SE 250W (XM 10K)
2x 96W Actinic
2x 37W 6700K HO T5 ('fuge light)
Tunze Wavebox
Euro-reef RS250 Skimmer
Turbo sea 1100gph return
PM kalk reactor
300 lbs Tonga Live rock

The Main tank is a custom design made by Seastar and the sump/'fuge is a plexi-glass tank made by tru-vu.

This setup is a reef made up of mainly softies, but the main attractions are really the fish.
It's home to 29 fish, including 8 tangs.

These pictures are a bit old, the tank has grown a bit since these were taken, as have the fish. The corals have really taken off and are filling in the tank quite quickly, but this give you a general idea.

They are nice set ups that's for sure, keep'em coming everyone!

Hi Justusfish,

Tanks! :)

Actually, if your interested, I can make you a custom stand and canopy.
I make them with my partner: my father :)

I'm in the process of building the following stand and tank for a reefer in New York:

It's still work in progress, but it's going to be a stunning tank and canopy. Dimensions 60x30x25. Open top, trimless.

amazing

That is beautiful and EXACTLY what I was looking for.

I'm having a tank built in the next little while, but actually want the stand before I get the tank.

I want my stand to be higher than normal. I like to be able to fully see into the tank without have to bend over so a 35 inch height is my fave.

PM with rough cost.

Thanks!!!

Ginzo 02-16-2007 03:07 PM

Ok, no problem !

Just sent you a PM :)

Ruth 02-24-2007 07:28 PM

Andy you seriously need to cut a lot of those corals back - they are way too big! Oh and if your wondering what to do with the leftover bits................

Andy 02-24-2007 10:40 PM

Thanks guys. And Ruth, any time you want more frags, just let me know. :-)

Doug 02-24-2007 11:34 PM

:surprise: Whoa Andy. Looks almost grown back again, since you cut it back. Superb looking as always.

Thought I would finally post a pic of my tank. Unfortunately I don't know how to add it as an insert as it asks for a URL, so I am adding it as an attachment.

WOW! how about a full tank shot from the front?

SuperFudge 04-11-2007 04:43 PM

I will try,

For some reason I cannot get a decent front pic unless i am close to the glass...so ill try and photostich one together for you.

Snappy 04-11-2007 11:03 PM

Nice shot Mark. You are the aquascape king. I wish I had the depth in my tank to do something creative but I am forced to settle for my rock wall.

SuperFudge 04-12-2007 02:59 PM

Thanks Greg,

The Pvc Structure thing can be done on any scale, it also makes the tank look bigger than it is by opening up room, and by creating depth and shadow to the views.

The downside is less available space to sit corals on.

Anytime you think you need to do some trimming to open up some room in there, you let me know ! :D

Marc.

Marc.

Won't be long for the trimming, well actually it's on an ongoing basis now. My tank is only 18" front-back and I am not willing to give up so many corals. If I ever get around to upgrading I will definately look to you for help with aquascape ideas.
