"Broken bottles under childrens feet
Bodies strewn across the dead end street
But I wont heed the battle call
It puts my back up
Puts my back up against the wall
..."

Should be an easy one.

"Cause then you might really know what its like to sing the blues."

Joe Reefer 08-11-2006 07:46 PM

If you go out in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go out in the woods today

You'd better go in disguise.

shadowboy 08-11-2006 08:14 PM

"The motion of her tiny hands
and the quiver of her bones below
are the signs of a girl alone
and tell you everything
you need to know"

bet no one gets this one even though its from a huge selling band

Funky_Fish14 08-11-2006 08:16 PM

muck 08-11-2006 08:49 PM

Here's one from last year..

"Bring back those good ol' days
Nothing feels right, nothing ever goes my way
I threw my future away
Now I walk alone out here in the cold...
Wandering astray
Where's my future?
Gonna need a home
You'd expect the same, now wouldn't you, wouldn't you?"

I'm with DJ Shadowboy, they're huge by my standards as well.
I'm at a loss with all these commercial radio bands.

shadowboy 08-12-2006 02:37 AM

thank you cap'n, In my mind the white stripes should rule the airwaves, they never will because they actually play music. These " triple" threat singers actors and dancers show that sex sells while talent does not. Jack white fronts 2 bands (WS and the racounteurs) had acted in cold mountain and produced a grammy awrad winning cd for loretta lynn... "get behind me satan" sold 250,000 copies in the first 2 weeks...so what do you call a huge selling band? the roilling stones? huge because they can charge whatever they want? dood
that ain't music thats a ripoff

Dredg....bug eyes

Murminator 08-12-2006 02:46 AM

This is not huge either.....

Well, the pirate life's appealing but you don't just find it here
I hear in north Alberta there's a band of buccaneers
They roam the Athabasca from Smith to Fort MacKay
And you're gonna lose your Stetson if you have to pass their way

Midknight 08-12-2006 03:05 AM

Aragent Worms - Last Sasctuwan pirate

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

muck 08-12-2006 05:50 AM

"But I made me a vow to the moon and stars,
I'd search the honky-tonks and bars,
And kill that man that gave me that awful name."

Funky_Fish14 08-12-2006 05:50 AM

Fearing the cracks in the earth
Oh God, it's human nature
Fearing the cracks in the earth"

HeavyDevys.....Strapping Young Lad... The New Black

Murminator 08-12-2006 08:35 PM

If your as old as me you should get this one....

" I got pictures of naked ladies
lying on their beds
I wiff that smell and sweet convulsion
starts-a-sweatin inside my head...."

ahhhh brings back memories:mrgreen:

Coldwater 08-13-2006 05:53 AM

I think its W.A.S.P-Animal(F*** like a beast) or somthing like that. I'm not a huge fan of them but I know alot of metal bands and songs.

"If your as old as me you should get this one...."
I dont know W.A.S.P was formed eight years before I was born.

"The apparition of two faces in disgust
Invisible but yet so clear
Reflections seen by a fugitive
Trying to escape the looking glass
Blood runs from open wounds of false flesh
The one in front of the mirror exceeds the image
Eager to leave further but chained still"

Think Norwegian black metal.

rudy 08-14-2006 01:08 AM

Maybe not......

Nope try guessing a little heavier. Another hint- They redid an old album and it turned really crappy. EDITED Another hint- The bands name is not in english or Norwegian.

Delphinus 08-14-2006 06:01 AM

In ancient times, hundreds of years before the
dawn of history.
There lived a strange race of people...the Druids.
