BTW, just to clarify.
I wasn't pointing any fingers at anyone or suggesting that any stores actually did have them attached because I am not 100 percent sure.
just wanted people's opinions.
thanks again

If I'm paying THAT kind of money for LR it better be perfect. Also they better have just the perfect piece that I am looking for. Seeing the state of certain stores fish rooms does not inspire me with confidence.

I can't believe people actually buy rock from BA. The one near us is full of aiptasia and hydroids. And they want $8 / lb for it... Scary!!

I got a fantastic 20lb piece from RCE and if you ask nicely it's not 9 bucks a lb

Right now after checking for months BA is the best place in the city for LR. It is covered in Pink and Purple coraline.
The other stores? it looks dead, brown and the other Big pet store here in calgary have big Majano's and aptasia on their LV and in their DT's.

I think If it can be managed then ideally each tank should be on its own filtration that way any diseases are contained in that one tank rather than all of them and especially not live rock tanks. :)

I suppose so...

But 8 months later it makes for some mighty fine live rock :D

What everyone else said.

Plus the fact if a giant order of deadrock is placed in the rock system wouldn't it potentially nuke all the inhabitants via cycle?
