Even though I was hoping for a Germany win, it was a very good game & the Italians deserved their victory. Can't really blame the ref & to infer there was bribery going on is a stretch. The Germans had some great chances early & didn't finish. The Italian striker finished clinically on the opportunities he had. That's soccer, anything can happen. All the teams in the competition are of a high caliber and are capable of winning on any given day. That's sports and why it's so enjoyable regardless of who wins. Sometimes we get too caught up in our flag waving & forget to enjoy the match for what it is. So much pressure on each player, coaches, referee, et al when it's a knockout format. They all make very good money & it's too easy for us with the benefit of replays to criticise calls by the ref. It's a whole different story when you have to make the call on the pitch in a high caliber, fast paced game.

I think Spain will take it & they would have also taken it if Germany made the final.

the only reason i suggested bribery is because the italians have been caught doing it before

Spain's passing game & work ethic of all the players is amazing. Score doesn't really tell the story though if you didn't watch the entire match. It's unfortunate that Italy was down to only 10 players after their last substitution pulled a muscle early in the 2nd half. 2 goals behind & short a player in the final, that's really bad luck & allowed Spain to run the score up higher than they would have against Italy. Italy deserves respect for grinding away in that second half & deserve congrats as well for getting into the final.
