Same thing was happening to me. Measure voltage between the water and ground a the reading was about 32 volts. I install a grounding probe now the reading is around 1-2 volts. No more zaps.

So a grounding probe will work?
I have nothing in the DT except one Vortech.
Everything is on GFCI and nothing trips.

better yet, find the source of the voltage and fix it.

Oh, and don't touch your reflector when you are in the tank :mrgreen:

If your system is as the one described in your sig, then technically your tanks(sump and display) are linked together by the 'column' of water between them called your return line, and potentially your drain. The lines can act just like electrical wires tying the water bodies together... so something in your sump could also be causing the stray voltage. Just tossing that out there.

Try some of the things others have mentioned!

Found out it is my new MJ400 that comes with my reactor.
