If you don't mind me asking, how much was the pump? That would be a sweet pump when my Dart dies as I'll be the third owner of my Dart. Thanks.

Oh yeah baby! Picking up my new SUPER DART GOLD tomorrow from Marine Aquaria. I can't imagine this pump being any quieter than the dart I'm running right now but if it is? AWESOME! Pump is around $500 which is pretty cheap for a good quality external return pump.

Pump

You will be happy. Now that it is all piped and running for a couple of days i could not be happier with it. Had to throttle it back a little, looked like a sand storm in there, lots of flow.

I just picked up a super dart gold last week and am looking forward to setting it up. Glad to hear you like it.

Mine has been up and running for a couple days now and no surprise... IT'S AWESOME! I don't think its any quieter than the regular dart but who cares. They're so quiet to begin with it doesn't matter.

interesting.

notice the increased flow?

Skimmin 06-19-2009 02:52 AM

Definately an increase in flow. I had to throttle everything back quite a bit more than before. Ah... Throttling... The beauty of a Dart. Throttling=no damage

Toxik 06-19-2009 08:31 PM

Did you just throttle it with a ball valve on the return?

The Codfather 06-19-2009 08:33 PM

They actually encourage you the throttle the discharge a little.
