There was some foul play in the voting with many of the votes coming from the same IP address. We've corrected it and given the prize to the Greg as Exentity is now disqualified from the contest.

IP addresses will be monitored in the future however, I don't imagine it will be a problem. I certainly hope that this doesn't discourage people from entering future POTMs as I am going to make sure that they are fair in every possible way :biggrin:

There was some questionable foul play involved which we have now sorted out. Sorry for the confusion but lets not get distracted.

Yes this has been an interesting contest to say the least but thanks very much. There were a lot of great "top down" pictures entered. I'm glad there were some of you that liked my entry. Actually, thinking about, I fail to see the difference between that and people coming on here saying they've been nominated on another site and getting everyone here to vote for them. This has happened a lot in the past.

In the second case, you have to convince different people to vote for you. Not always easy. In the first case, the same person creates several accounts and votes for themselves. I think that's a big difference. I'm not saying that's what happened here. I'm just saying what multiple votes from the same IP address might mean and how the 2 cases are different.

I've met Anthony and can't see him fudging imaginary votes. I believe he had been entertaining and those people while at his place decided to vote then & there. That is the most likely scenario. There were a few parts to the equation but I think one of the main issues was the picture in question was not considered a true "top down". :wink:

What was done was done to keep the contest fair. I'll be making two prizes, one for each winner :biggrin:
