Alan, I just tried to link back to my Webspace and now it seems to want a password for everything I do.

I will remove the avatar, and look at the issue when I have some time.

Before, when I went away on a trip, I had the people that looked after my system just add cold tap water to the system for top-off. The amount was between 5 and 8 gallons a day. I didn't have a float switch hooked up and didn't trust them to run my RO/DI.

...No difference...

:?

Long term, I feel better using RO/DI, but I'm not so sure it's really necessary.

But I think it looks cool.

Hi'ya Mitch, "not really necessary, but it looks cool". Now there's a method of thinkin' I can relate to. It's proving to be a very expensive method though as I take inventory of the stuff I've acquired in life.
5-8 gallons a day ? WOW. Thats a lot of water out of the tap but hey, I know what that lack of trust thing is all about but that's another story...
I'll end this Calgary water thing now. Enough already. You can come back in now Steve if you play nice. Let's all try and get along, OK ? Everyone's here because we share a common interest, regardless of where we live...

"We must be understanding and offer acceptance to the effects of evolutionary diversity created by an isolated enviroment. Look at the Galapagos Islands, or a Newfie for that matter..." Almost sounds like somethin' Darwin would have said ?
Ooops, there I go jumpin' in with some dumb-ass comment again. All in fun...

I've had people look after my system before and they left the RO running topoff water for 16 hours.... :x

(no floatswitch)

My system is around 500 gallons, so that would explain the large volume of evaporation.
