It will be for our home, but I would like it large enough to potentially market commercial in the future when we move.

It will be set up as a room divider between living room, and dining room.

With a 84" tank, and having all the gear down below, I would like it 11' long. With that length, the 8' height is pretty much needed to help balance the look out.

We are looking forward to it

Looks COOL.......

Would love to plumb that baby.......
Let me know what your plans are before you build the tank.........

That tank needs a kick ass system me thinks.........

That will look impressive when its set up.

However, I was in the market for a large tank recently & I chose not to buy one system because of the massiveness of the stand & everything. The stand was 11' long, 32" tall & 33" wide for a 8' tank 260g. Lots of room for the fish but the entire system would have been too massive to transport. It would also need a very large house to not look out of place.

BTW, this stand had a marble top & marble sink on the end for doing water changes.

Good luck.

Willow,

Yeah, my doorway is only 28" wide so it would never have fit.

MA,

I wonder how much the stand & top will weigh, even without the tank. Moving it will be a b***h, so I hope you will have lots of help

Thinking 1500 lbs. not inc. tank, sump, mechanical, or water.

It will be in 10 pieces-largest (heaviest) will be the columns-hoping to keep them under 400 lbs. each.

Gonna be a beauty!

Hey there! Great stuff! I love to see other people's ideas... Of course keep us posted as you develop this monster... I would check the floor by driving the family SUV into the dining room, but I'm sure you'll have that figured out.
