YUP....... Gets it right up out of your way when working on the tank....
It's a little tricky though, Those hindges only come in 14" door is 20" JUST sits up there. I think I have to add a little weight to the top end. I little bug I have to work out yet. |
So heres how I fixed the bug........
I took an old pry bar that I got from my Grandfather many many years ago......flatened it out and routered a space for it at the top of the door on the inside.........works great .......and a piece of history inbeded in the tank stand to boot........Kinda cool  http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...05_04_1901.JPG |

Hello All.......
I have a new found respect for people that choose to put in a new tank. The work involved is incredible. So lets get to the tank: Here is the backing I have gone with. It's vinyl with clear mac-tac. I had 4 hands helping it went well and with about one hour of working out the bubbles it was smooth as glass. If this is the look your after, I highly recommend it.... The Back http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0301-med.JPG In The Tank http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0303-med.JPG Full Frontal $%^&$ http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...05_05_0302.JPG The stand is (as you can see) back from paint. Great job Rob (Majestic) thank you Well the tank is in and running, sofar only a couple of loses still a day to day thing. Will update soon with pics and how this move was done..... |
Richard, nice job. What are the three way intakes for? Or why are there strainers on the returns?
|
Hey Troy......
Yes....there intakes for the closed loop. 3 strainers to 2 1in lines that Y into a Mak-4. I split it up this way to cut down on the sucking power in the tank. |
Well.......
As you can see, it's in place.....the move went well http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0403-med.JPG Some Plumbing http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0401-med.JPG http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0402-med.JPG Under the hood http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...05_05_0604.JPG http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0606-med.JPG OMG... There be WATER in that Tank.... http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0607-med.JPG http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0602-med.JPG http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0608-med.JPG There she be ...not the best pic  http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...5_0601-med.JPG Well thats it for now....... maybe another post in a month or so.....
